In a startling incident today at St. John's Boarding School in Lalpatti, Triveniganj, Supaul, a 5-year-old nursery student named Eklavya Kumar brought a firearm to school and shot a third-grade student, 10-year-old Asif, before the morning prayer. The bullet struck Asif in his left hand, leaving him seriously injured. Asif has been admitted to Triveniganj Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. The accused student, Eklavya, is reportedly on the run.

According to the school administration, both students' parents were summoned to the school following the incident. During a discussion about the incident in the principal's chamber, Eklavya's father, Mukesh Yadav, was present. Amid the conversation, Mukesh Yadav managed to escape with his son and the firearm, but the injured student's parents seized the magazine from the weapon.

Following the incident, enraged parents vandalized the school premises. Triveniganj police have begun investigating the case, and both the accused child and his parents are currently at large. The police are also interrogating the school administration to understand how such a significant lapse in security occurred.

This shocking event has raised serious concerns among parents, highlighting the urgent need for stringent security measures and thorough bag checks in schools. Parents and guardians are deeply worried about the safety of their children in educational institutions.
