Telangana Police ACP Targets Allu Arjun with Pushpa Reference: 'Speak Against Us, and We'll Expose You

Allu Arjun of Telugu cinema has also come into the controversy mouth by police officer ACP Vishnu Murthy. Referring to Pushpa, in a sarcastic tone and he has also targeted his actor for having portrayed Police Officers in demeaning a level and says such things hamper the cause of enforcing the law and warned he will expose any one against police officers.

Murthy said Allu Arjun, through his movies and acts, tries to malign police officers. He further claimed that celebrities had crossed all limits and warned that those who criticized police officials should be prepared for backlash. "You were once given land on lease by politicians to boost the industry. Don't fly too high, or the public will cut your wings," he observed.

Criticism of Telugu Film Industry

He added that press meets held by celebrities to mislead the public were against legal norms. ACP said films like Pushpa, which showed the humiliation of a police officer in the storyline, would only damage the image of the police among the people.

Sandhya Theater Incident

Murthy's statement follows a recent stampede at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theater during the promotion of Pushpa 2. Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand said the bouncers hired for the event behaved irresponsibly as they pushed people, even police officers, which created the stampede. Anand warned that celebrities are liable for the actions of their security teams and that strict action would be taken against the misconduct.
