Temple Servant Absconds with ₹1.9 Crore from Govardhan's Mansi Temple in Mathura

In a shocking incident, a temple servant (sevayat) has absconded with ₹1.9 crore collected from the donations at the famous Mansi Ganga Giriraj Mukut Mukharvind Temple in Govardhan, Mathura. A case of breach of trust has been filed against the sevayat by the manager of the temple receiver committee at the Govardhan police station. The police are currently investigating the matter and searching for the accused.

According to reports, the incident occurred during the Mudiya Purnima fair in July. The contract for the month was awarded to Dinesh Chandra. On July 29, after the contract period ended, temple sevayat Dinesh Sharma, along with the temple receiver committee manager Chandra Vinod Kaushik and Banshi Lal, went to deposit ₹1,3,79,200 at the Union Bank of India branch in Govardhan. However, on their way to the bank, Dinesh Chandra suddenly disappeared with the money. Chandra Vinod Kaushik immediately informed temple receiver Kapil Chaturvedi about the incident.

The police have registered a case and are actively searching for the absconding sevayat. The authorities have assured that all efforts are being made to apprehend the accused and recover the stolen money.
