Family killed in tragic road accident on Agra Expressway returning from Kumbh Mela

A tragic accident on the Agra Expressway killed a family of four. The victims were a couple along with their two children. The accident occurred when the car lost control and collided with an oncoming truck.

A tragic accident took place on the Agra Expressway as a family returning from the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj lost their lives. The accident happened in the Fatehabad area of Agra at around 12:30 AM on Monday night. The victims were residents of Uttam Nagar in Delhi and were returning home after performing Ganga Snan (ritual bathing) at the Kumbh Mela.

Reason for the Accident

The family's car, driven by 42-year-old Omprakash Singh, lost control and veered across the road divider. The vehicle, traveling at high speed, crossed over to the opposite side of the expressway and collided head-on with a truck coming from the other direction. The force of the crash was so severe that the car was completely wrecked, and all four occupants died at the scene.

Victims Identified

The casualties included Omprakash Singh, his wife Purnima who was 34 years old, their 12-year-old daughter Ahana, and their four-year-old son Vinayak. Upon receiving the report, local police went to the site and began conducting investigations immediately. The bodies were taken for post-mortem, and the family's relatives were informed of the tragic incident.

Possible Causes of the Crash

It would appear that at first glance, the driver possibly dozed off at the steering wheel, resulting in the probable car loss of control. The government may think that probably, the crash was caused by exhaustion and speeding, but the police have said a full-scale inquiry is being held to confirm every one of the aspects that led to the crash.

The tragic accident has shocked the community, and many people have expressed their sorrow over the loss of an entire family. The police are continuing to investigate the causes of the accident to bring justice to the victims.
