Tragic Cardiac Arrest: HCL Technologies Employee Passes Away in Nagpur Washroom – Company Prioritizes Employee Health!
A 40-year-old employee of HCL Technologies tragically passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest in the company’s washroom located in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The incident occurred on Friday when Nitin Edwin Michael, a senior analyst, went to the washroom and was later discovered unresponsive.
According to officials from the Sonegaon police station, Nitin was quickly transported to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur, where he was declared dead upon arrival. Following the incident, his body was sent for a postmortem examination, and police have registered a case of accidental death. Initial autopsy results suggested that he died from cardiac arrest.
Nitin is survived by his wife and their six-year-old son. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
In response to this tragic event, HCL Technologies expressed its condolences, describing the situation as "unfortunate." The company emphasized that the wellbeing of its employees is a top priority, stating, "This is an unfortunate incident and a tragic loss. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased employee and are providing all possible assistance to them. Emergency support was provided at the campus healthcare clinic, and the employee was rushed to the hospital. HCLTech prioritizes the health of our people, offering healthcare programs for all employees and their families, including on-campus clinics and annual preventive health checks," the company remarked in an official statement.
