Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday asked both the Congress and the BJP to get over their obsession with Veer Savarkar and Pandit Nehru. Addressing the media in Nagpur, Thackeray said, "What these great leaders achieved is in the past; we need to think of the future now." He also wondered why the BJP was taking so long to award Bharat Ratna to Veer Savarkar, even though the party had made promises in the past and letters had been written by leaders such as Devendra Fadnavis.

Criticism of 'One Nation, One Election'

Regarding the 'One Nation, One Election' bill, Thackeray criticized the central government for diverting attention from real issues. He insisted that before implementing such a bill, the government needs to ensure free and fair elections in the entire country.

Demand for Women's Pension

Attack on Maharashtra Government

He took a dig at the Maharashtra government by calling it an "EVM government" and raising questions about its legitimacy. He mocked the lack of celebration post-election victory and highlighted internal dissatisfaction over cabinet expansion. He further criticized the government for inducting ministers under the scanner of agencies like the ED, questioning how such introductions could be justified in the Assembly.
