UP DGP Prashant Kumar Hoists National Flag, Highlights Police Achievements on Independence Day
Lucknow: On the occasion of India's 78th Independence Day, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar hoisted the national flag at the police headquarters and extended his greetings to the state's police personnel and their families. In his address, he underscored the efforts made by the state police in ensuring a secure and peaceful Uttar Pradesh.
"Greetings to every individual who holds faith in India on this special day. Independence Day greetings to the police personnel of Uttar Pradesh and their families as well," DGP Prashant Kumar stated.
He praised the officers of the Uttar Pradesh Police for their dedication and bravery, noting, "The officers of the Uttar Pradesh Police have risked their lives to provide security in challenging situations. On this occasion, all the police personnel of Uttar Pradesh are being honored today."
DGP Kumar also highlighted the work of the Uttar Pradesh government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying, "Under the guidance of the Honourable Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh has successfully become a state free from corruption and fear. Today, the Uttar Pradesh Police have broken the backbone of criminals, and the network of mafias has been dismantled. By reforming the justice process, criminals are now being punished promptly. Improvements in UP 112 have enhanced public communication, and a public awareness campaign has been initiated."

He further mentioned ongoing recruitment efforts for Uttar Pradesh Police constables, emphasizing the government's commitment to women's safety. "The Mission Shakti campaign has provided security to women. According to the NCRB, women in Uttar Pradesh are safe today. Recruitment of female police officers is being carried out for the safety of women. With the introduction of women's pink booths and women's police stations, women's concerns are being addressed immediately," he added.
DGP Prashant Kumar's remarks on Independence Day highlighted the significant strides made by the Uttar Pradesh Police in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and upholding justice in the state.
