UP govt announces further closure of all educational institutions amid Covid surge

As the cases record an increasing pace on the Covid graph, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced further closure of all educational institutions in the state-schools and colleges till January 23.

Meanwhile, online classes will continue for all the students.

For Class 11 and Class 12 students, the classes will be held in online mode; schools will organise vaccination camps to vaccinate all the students between 15 and 18 age groups.
Also, students will be allowed to visit their schools for vaccination.

For those children in Anganvadis, the classes have been discontinued, the distribution of food and rations will continue, however.

Moreover, schools, colleges in Telangana will remain closed further till January 30.

The UP government on January 16 further announced to extend the vacation of all educational institutions in Telangana till January 30.

Earlier, the state government had declared holidays for schools, colleges from January 8 to 16.

Kerala government, on the other hand, has also ordered shutting of schools for classes 1 to 9 till further orders.

Furthermore, offline classes will be suspended up to standard 9 for two weeks starting from January 21.
