The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has honoured a 5-year-old boy, a month after his video of “kadak” salute to the soldiers in Ladakh went viral. The little one’s enthusiasm and cuteness won many hearts and his video was widely shared on social media.
Nawang Namgyal lives in one of the border villages in Ladakh’s Chushul area and is a lower kindergarten student. Namgyal became an internet sensation in October after his video was shared by the ITBP. In the video, he can be seen saluting jawans to command.
The boy has now received a custom made ITBP uniformed from the ITBP as a honour. He was again filmed wearing the uniform at the camp.
Salute!

Another adorable video which has been shared with a title “Happy and inspiring again!” is also winning hearts.
The first viral video, made by an ITBP officer, shows the boy saluting the soldiers, who can be seen correcting his posture and stance. Sharing this video, the ITBP had marked it high on “josh”. The ITBP has also shared the boy’s pictures in uniform.
