Vinod Sehwag, the brother of former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, has been arrested in a two-year-old check bounce case, where he was declared a fugitive. The Chandigarh police arrested him in connection with a check bounce case involving a sum of ₹7 crore.

The arrest was made by the Mani Majra police in Chandigarh, and Vinod Sehwag was presented in court. His lawyer immediately filed for bail.

The police opposed the bail plea. The court is yet to deliver a decision. A case is currently ongoing against Vinod Sehwag in the Chandigarh District Court concerning the ₹7 crore check bounce. The hearing on his bail plea was conducted on Thursday.

The police, opposing the bail, argued that Vinod Sehwag had previously violated court orders, and if granted bail, there were chances of him violating the terms again. The court reserved its judgment and adjourned the hearing until March 10.
