Weather News: As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Heavy rainfall at isolated places over west UP, Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal. Squally weather is also very likely over the North Bay of Bengal along and off West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya. Heavy rainfall at isolated places over Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Tamilnadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe.
Also, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning at isolated places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, south interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe.
Moreover, squally weather is very likely over Southeast Arabian Sea along and off the Kerala coast and Lakshadweep area.

After incessant rains wreaking havoc in Kerala, the state government will open the gates of two of its prominent dams.
These two are the Idukki dam which is Asia’s biggest arch dam constructed across the Periyar River – and Idamalayar on one of its tributaries in Ernakulam district.
Furthermore, IMD has predicted more rain in Kerala from October 20 to 24. There is a yellow alert in 11 districts of Kerala.
