Weather News: Wet conditions will sweep parts of southern India till January 18, however, rainfall intensity is expected to remain significantly light.

The fresh spell of rainfall over the region will be the result of two cyclonic circulations (CC). Many districts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Cuddalore, Karaikal, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Ranipet, Ariyallur, Madurai, Tenkasi and Kanyakumari will get light to moderate rain until January 17.
