Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning at isolated places is very likely over Tamilnadu-Puducherry-Karaikal and Kerala-Mahe.
Furthermore, the IMD has predicted a wet spell over the Western Himalayan Region and adjoining plains of northwest India on February 8 and 9 and over east India on February 10.
The IMD has also predicted that this cold wave is likely to intensify in Himachal Pradesh in the next three to four days.

Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is very likely over Tamilnadu-Puducherry-Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe.
As per the IMD, western disturbance is persisting as a trough over the middle and upper tropospheric levels. A cyclonic circulation lies over the lower tropospheric levels over northern parts of east Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas.
Dense to very dense fog is also very likely over Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog in isolated pockets over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi is very likely.
Moreover, snowfall is likely in places including Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur and also the higher reaches of Kullu and Sirmaur for the next few days.
