Some of her content also included positive videos about Pakistan, which, according to the police, showed her soft corner for the country. She had also made videos during her Kashmir tour, where some Indian Army personnel were seen in the footage.
Police said that these videos may have shared sensitive details. According to the CIA, her videos on Pakistan showed the country in a good light and raised doubts about her intentions.
YouTube Earning and Family Reaction on Spy Allegations
After her arrest, her father Harish Kumar Malhotra, who is a retired electricity board employee, spoke to the media. He said he has no idea about Jyoti’s earnings from YouTube. He added,
"Earlier, when she worked in Delhi, she used to pay ₹12,000 as rent. Now, she stays in our own house. I never asked her about her earnings. I don’t even know how much she earns from YouTube."
He also shared that Jyoti used to work a ₹20,000 job in Delhi before the lockdown. After that, she came back home and started making travel videos. He said he is unaware of all the countries she visited, especially after her trips with Sikh groups to Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan.
He also clarified that he has no connection with Jyoti’s mother, as they are divorced, and he doesn’t interfere in Jyoti’s personal life.

As per the information, Jyoti got her passport made in 2018, and it is valid until 2028. She has travelled to Pakistan, Dubai, Thailand, Indonesia, Nepal, Bhutan, China, and Bangladesh.
In 2023, she went to the Pakistan High Commission in India to get a visa. There, she met a man named Ahsan Ur Rahim, also known as Danish. She took his number, and they started talking. Later, she traveled to Pakistan twice.
Police say that she is one of six people arrested for spying, including five of her companions. She was arrested from New Aggarwal Extension, Hisar. Her channel is called Travel with Jo.
