On October 28, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, attended the marriage ceremony of Dravya Dholakia, son of Gujarat diamond merchant Savji Dholakia, in Surat. The grand wedding function was held at Het Ni Haveli in Dudhala, and Dravya and Janhvi were blessed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While PM Modi arrived by helicopter, Savji Dholakia welcomed him very warmly, an event gone viral on social media as well.

Savji Dholakia is a journey of grit and determination. Born in Dudhala, Amreli district, Gujarat, he left school after completing the fourth grade and joined his uncle as a diamond polisher at age 13. After a decade of hard work, he started Hari Krishna Exports in 1991. Today, it employs more than 1,500 people and is the biggest diamond exporter in the country.

Dholakia disclosed that he personally invited PM Modi to the wedding in one of the meetings he held in Delhi.
