Yogi Adityanath Slams TMC, Congress, and SP Over Silence on Violence Against Dalit Hindus in Bangladesh and West Bengal

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Congress, and Samajwadi Party (SP) for their alleged indifference towards the violence inflicted upon Dalit, marginalized, and poor Hindus in West Bengal's Murshidabad district and neighboring Bangladesh.

Silence on Persecution of Dalit Hindus in Bangladesh

CM Adityanath highlighted that the Hindus facing persecution in Bangladesh are predominantly Dalit Hindus. He criticized the aforementioned parties for not raising their voices in support of these victims, stating that only the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has consistently advocated for their protection.

Addressing the recent violence in West Bengal following the passage of the Wakf Amendment Bill in Parliament, CM Adityanath expressed astonishment over the unrest. He noted that West Bengal has a history of significant land acquisitions under the guise of Wakf, and questioned the sudden eruption of violence after the bill's enactment.

Murshidabad Killings and Allegations of Negligence

The Chief Minister condemned the brutal killings of three Hindus in Murshidabad, who were dragged from their homes and murdered. He pointed out that these victims were Dalit, marginalized, and poor Hindus, who are supposed to benefit the most from government schemes. He accused the opposition parties of fostering an environment of disorder and neglecting the welfare of these communities.

BJP's Commitment to Dalit and Marginalized Communities

CM Adityanath emphasized the BJP's dedication to uplifting Dalit and marginalized communities, asserting that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, welfare schemes have reached these groups without discrimination. He criticized the opposition for their focus on negative propaganda and neglect of the issues affecting these communities.

Historical Context: The Plight of Dalit Hindus Post-Partition

Drawing a historical parallel, CM Adityanath referenced the experiences of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Yogendra Nath Mandal, noting that while Mandal supported the creation of Pakistan, he could not endure living there for even a year. He suggested that the repercussions of Mandal's actions are still being borne by Dalit Hindus in Bangladesh today.
