UPCM Yogi Adityanath Criticizes Delhi Government Over Yamuna Pollution and Poor Infrastructure

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a public rally in the Vikaspuri Assembly constituency of Delhi, highlighting key issues such as the poor state of Yamuna River and Delhi’s crumbling infrastructure. He criticized the current Delhi government for neglecting public welfare and failing to deliver on its promises.
"Yamuna's Condition is a Result of Neglect": Yogi Adityanath
Yogi Adityanath pointed out the alarming condition of the Yamuna River, stating that it has become a victim of "anarchy and corruption" under the policies of the current Delhi government. Once considered a sacred river and a symbol of faith, Yamuna's deterioration is now a major environmental concern.
Adityanath blamed Delhi's leadership for failing to prioritize the cleaning and conservation of the river, calling it a significant betrayal of the people’s faith.
Poor Infrastructure: Roads in Ruins
During his address in Vikaspuri, Yogi Adityanath took a dig at the poor state of Delhi’s roads. "Thousands of people are on the streets, and I am shocked to see roads filled with potholes—or should I say potholes with some road around them?" he remarked.
He criticized Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for failing to improve the city's infrastructure, despite being in power for nearly a decade. "The person who has been fooling Delhiites with the promise of a broom for the last 10 years hasn’t even managed to clean the roads," Yogi added.
Double Engine Government for Holistic Development
Yogi Adityanath highlighted the benefits of a "double-engine government" where the central and state governments work in sync to ensure overall development. He emphasized that such a model prioritizes heritage, faith, and modern infrastructure development, ensuring progress for all citizens.
Call for Accountability
The rally served as a platform for Yogi Adityanath to urge the people of Delhi to demand accountability from their leaders. He reiterated that the state’s current condition is a result of poor governance and urged the citizens to consider the benefits of aligning with a government focused on development and heritage conservation.
