Inside Jolene: Amrita Arora's Boho Chic Goa Restaurant Offering Stunning Sunsets

Amrita Arora has entered the world of entrepreneurship with her first restaurant, Jolene, which she has launched in collaboration with her husband, Shakeel Ladak. Above the beautiful Anjuna Beach in Goa, the restaurant blends boho chic, warm, and panoramic sunset views over the Arabian Sea.
A Journey of Overcoming Fears
In an exclusive interview with Vogue India, Amrita shared how her childhood fear of water came full circle. Despite avoiding the ocean as a kid during Goa vacations, she later overcame her fears to spend time with her children. Now, years later, she owns a restaurant overlooking the same sea she once feared.
Design and Ambience
Jolene offers interior areas with high ceilings, palm trees within the interior, and rustic-toned sand-colored curtains and furniture. One of its most striking glass walls offers full views of the sea as light moves from dazzling afternoons to peaceful evenings.
The Story Behind Jolene
Jolene is named after one of the all-time hit songs by Dolly Parton. Amrita said, "It's one of my favorite songs and an ode to strong yet vulnerable women."
Curated Menu by Chef Suvir Saran
The food, cocktails, and desserts are thoughtfully curated by Chef Suvir Saran, blending global flavors with comfort food.
Must-try dishes include:
TB&C: A unique combination of tomatoes, burrata, and crispy cornflakes.
Forbidden Yet Yours: A healthier take on fried rice made with black rice.
Spicy Misal Ramen: Amrita's personal favorite, offering a twist on the classic Indian dish.
A Unique Culinary Experience
Jolene stands out as a must-visit destination in Goa, with its innovative menu, stunning aesthetics, and boho charm. Whether you are indulging in the food or basking in the views, Jolene captures the essence of coastal luxury with a personal touch from Amrita Arora and Shakeel Ladak.
