The Bird flu scare has hit India as it has spread to five states of the country after it was first reported in Rajasthan. A large number of crows and other birds have been found dead in these states.
A contagious viral disease, Bird Flu or Avian Influenza spreads from one bird to other birds and animals.
The H5N1 is the most common form of Bird Flu and it doesn’t easily spread from human to human.
Bird flu symptoms
*High fever
*Muscle pain
*Headache
*Cough

*Avoid contact with live birds and poultry
*Separate utensils used for cleaning and cooking meat
*Make sure the meat is cooked until its steaming hot
*Wash your hands repeatedly with soap and warm water, especially if you have handled raw poultry
Don’ts
*Do not touch or get closed to dead birds or their droppings
*Stay away from live animal markets or poultry farms
*Don’t eat raw or undercooked poultry or other birds
*Avoid eating raw eggs
