Coronavirus treatment at home: With increasing cases in India, many hospitals are unavailable to provide medical facilities to the people suffering from the virus. Hence, it is important for you to treat the virus at home itself. Just like other diseases this virus can also be treated at home under proper care. All you need to do is monitor your symptoms regularly and take home based medications as nothing can beat the home remedies. 

Common Symptoms of Coronavirus

There are varied ranges of symptoms of coronavirus. The list has continued to expand but the most common remains to be the same. Some common symptoms are:

  • Fever
  • Dry cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny and stuffy nose
  • Chest pain and shortness of breath
  • Fatigue
  • Gastrointestinal infection
  • Loss of sense of smell and taste

What can be done if one is asymptomatic

If somehow you have come in contact with a person who is suffering from COVID-19, it is important for you to get  checked. It is possible that you have carried an infection and may put others at risk.

How Coronavirus can be treated at home?

You can easily treat Mild symptoms of COVID at home. Once you notice signs of coronavirus infection, isolate yourself for at least a week until you are perfectly recovered. Older people and those with underlying health conditions are at higher risk to prone critical infections.

Home treatments for Coronavirus

The treatments are aimed at relieving pain caused by the infection. The first and utmost important thing is to stay hydrated during the course of your infection. Make sure you get enough rest and sleep. Take pain relieving medications prescribed by your doctor.

When you can seek medical attention?

If your symptoms get worse, don’t panic, just consult your doctor as soon as possible. The emergency symptoms can be

  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent chest pain
  • Mental confusion
  • Bluish lips
  • Inability to stay awake

How to protect others, if you are sick?

The best possible thing one can do is to isolate themselves in a well ventilated room and sanitize your surroundings. Do not share any common space with others and try not to come in contact with them. Wear a mask all the time and sanitize yourself again and again. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.
