Depression and stress can reduce the efficacy of coronavirus vaccine, according to a new study by scientists.

Stress and loneliness may lower the body’s immune system, thereby reducing the efficacy of the vaccine given to combat the Covid-19 virus.

According to a report that has been accepted to get published in the journal ‘ Perspectives on Psychological Science ‘ simple steps like getting a good night’s sleep and regular exercise may help maximise the vaccine’s initial impact on human body.

Apart from other factors, environmental factors play a vital role in the way of boosting the efficacy of the corona virus vaccine.

An emotionally strained person is more susceptible to depression, anxiety and loneliness. These stressors in turn can weaken body’s immune system.
