Doja Cat took it a notch further with her unconventional all-red appearance, as if Kylie Jenner’s lion-head ensemble for Schiaparelli’s Spring-Summer 2023 couture presentation in Paris on Monday wasn’t shocking and polarising enough already. At the fashion spectacle, the singer made a striking entrance covered in crimson paint and crystals.
30,000 Swarovski crystals were hand-applied all over Doja, according to Schiaparelli, to create her appearance. The outfit included trompe l’oeil toe boots, a hand-knit skirt made of lacquered wooden beads, and a crimson silk faille bustier. The 27-year-old woman’s striking appearance was finished off by a red silk cloth hanging from her arms and a pair of red crystal earrings.
Pat Mcgrath, the makeup artist who gave Doja the “Inferno” appearance, estimated that it took him “4 hours and 58 minutes” to apply the crystals to Doja’s skin. The singer’s torso was then covered in crystals and gold dust after her skin had been painted and covered in caps.

Many users referred to the reaction that many individuals get when they see a pattern of holes or bumps as “trypophobia alert,” which is a term for the fear or revulsion that many people feel.
