Masaba Gupta, an actor and fashion designer, wed Satyadeep Misra, an actor and lawyer, today in a small ceremony that she documented on Instagram. Among the numerous romantic images provided, Masaba also included a group shot of the families of the bride and groom laughing heartily. “For the first time ever — my whole life came together. This is us. My beautiful blended family 💛 Everything from here on is just a bonus,” Masaba wrote in the image’s caption.
In the photo are members of Masaba’s family, including her famous cricketer father Sir Vivian Richards and her mother, actor Neena Gupta. It also features Neena’s current spouse, Vivek Mehra. Satyadeep’s mother, the artist Nalini Misra Tyabji, and his sister Chinmaya Misra are standing next to the pair.
Masaba was conceived in 1989 by Neena Gupta and Vivian Richards. They supposedly dated for a short time in the 1980s after meeting in Jaipur, but they never wed. Masaba was raised by Neena in India, who did so as a single mother. According to media accounts, at the age of 20, Masaba made contact with her father again. “Aaj beti ki shaadi huee; dil mein ajeeb see shanti khushi abhaar aur pyaar umda hai sharing with you friends.” Neena also said on Instagram.
Stayadeep co-starred with Masaba in the Netflix series Masaba Masaba, playing the part of her ex-husband Vinay. The two have been seeing each other for a while, and they are open about it on social media.
Masaba referred to him as her “ocean of calm” in the post about their wedding, writing: “Married my ocean of calm, this morning. Here’s wishing you love, peace, stability, and most importantly, laughter, for a very long time. And I appreciate you letting me choose the caption; this is going to be awesome!
The designer chose a barfi pink “paan-patti” lehenga for the momentous occasion, accessorizing it with two dupattas: one lime green with a wallflower print and a sequined border, the other with “open hearts” adorned in rani pink.
