Barley is commonly known as ‘jau’ and it promotes overall good health. For Rakul, this is one stop solution to beat summer woes. Needless to say, the actress definitely counts on it. In her latest post, the actress has also mentioned that barley water also helps in soothing acne or bloating.

“Thinking how to beat the summer heat? Let barley water come to your rescue. A cool drink suggested by my super cool nutritionist @munmun.ganeriwal, it will rid you of all summer woes; be it bloating, acne or any digestive issue. Ise kehte hai: ‘chota naam, bada kaam’,” Rakul Preet said in the caption of her post.

How to make barley water?

Water water is something that can be made at home in just no time! To make barley water, wash 2-3 tablespoons of barley water and wash it thoroughly. After washing it, soak barley for 6-8 hours or overnight. Next morning, drain out the water from barley. Take a pan and add 2 cups of water in it. Bring the water to boil and add soaked barley to it. Keep boiling it for about 15 minutes or wait till barley becomes soft. Turn off the flame and cool down the water. Now pour the barley water in a glass. You can also add lemon juice, sugar, salt, honey as per your preference.
