Diwali Crackdown: Noida Police Confiscate ₹1 Million in Illicit Firecrackers as Safety Campaign Heats Up

In the run-up to Diwali, Noida police have launched a crackdown on illegal firework storage and sales to ensure safety and compliance in the city. The police officers, acting strictly on the guidelines, confiscated more than ₹1 million worth of fireworks from various locations in Noida. According to official reports, the Central Noida Police Department has registered 10 cases in just two days as part of a concerted drive to halt unauthorized firework sales.

Special Crackdown Initiative by Noida DCP

The Central Noida DCP has launched a special drive against all the illegal firework storage sites in the city. Several police teams have conducted raids in important areas of Chapraula in the Badalpur area and Bisrakh. Here, the police have raided warehouses and found huge illegal stockpiles of firecrackers.

This was started for the purpose of illegal, permitless storage of firecrackers. There has been a risk of blasting and fires in residential communities. The police department sought to avert dangerous fires and to ensure public security during the festival season that carries heavy traffic.

Over ₹1 Million Worth of Firecrackers Seized

The recent crackdown already led to the seizure of illegal fireworks worth over ₹1 million. Officials also say this will prevent more unlicensed trading in firecrackers because of rising police presence. The officials also confirmed that around 50 people involved in storing and selling illegal fireworks had faced legal actions.

The police department further continues increasing such efforts while the festival time draws near. DCP Central Noida encouraged people to alert the district in case of any places of suspected storage of firework.

Illegal Fireworks Seller feel Scared Upon the Police Initiatives

According to sources, the police's firm attitude has been creating quite a stir among the various persons and groups involved in the illegal firecracker business. For the past two days, police authorities have made their presence well-known through frequent raids, and the large quantities of confiscated illicit stock have underscored the city's commitment to public safety.
