A large group of parents gathered outside the school, demanding answers from the administration. The incident prompted the local police to intervene and de-escalate the situation.
Parents have accused the school of negligence, claiming that the safety of students is not being prioritized. Their attempts to meet with the school administration were unsuccessful, as the administration refused to engage.
In response to the growing unrest, parents approached the District Magistrate (DM), Manish Kumar Mishra, seeking his intervention. The DM assured the parents that their grievances would be addressed and ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter. The SIT will be comprised of senior officials including the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), City Magistrate, and District Provisioning Officer.
The police have already arrested the school's sweeper, Nityanand, in connection with the incident. Further investigations led to the arrest of the class teacher and security in-charge for their alleged involvement in attempting to cover up the crime.
The DM has warned that strict action will be taken against the school administration if they fail to cooperate with the investigation and address the concerns of the parents. He emphasized that the government has established guidelines for the safety of children in schools and that any violation of these guidelines will not be tolerated.
