Noida Police Bust Fake Food Supplement Factory, Three Arrested
In a joint operation, Sector 63 Police with the Food Safety Department carried out a raid on one of the major counterfeit food supplement factories and arrested three people operating in the illegal production of fake supplements. The accused were manufacturing and selling false protein supplements for those bodybuilders who are looking forward to building muscle mass.
The arrested trio was found to be marketing and distributing the fraudulent products online. During the raid, authorities seized a large quantity of counterfeit protein powder, capsules, packaging materials, a packing machine, a printing machine, and an official seal.
The total value of fake supplements seized is estimated to be around ₹50 lakh. Police are continuing to probe into the operation, including tracing the supply chain to find other potential culprits involved in the illicit trade. This is another big crackdown by the authority as it is part of an ongoing effort to battle the rising issue of counterfeit health products in the market.
