Noida Police Bust Gang Trafficking Illegal Marijuana and Hashish from Shillong

The Noida Police had busted a gang involved in the illicit trade of marijuana and hashish coming from Shillong. In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the Face 3 Thana Police, in association with the Criminal and Traffic (CRT) team, nabbed five individuals, including a woman named Kajal, during the operation.

During the raid, authorities confiscated around 30 kilograms of marijuana and 236 grams of hashish, estimated to be worth lakhs of rupees. The confiscated drugs were recovered from a vehicle that was used during the trafficking operation. The police recovered the car used by the gang, which is an important vehicle in the smuggling activities of the gang.

Mode of Trafficking

It was found that the accused used courier services to transport the illegal drugs from Shillong to several locations in the Noida NCR region. In this way, they were able to smuggle massive amounts of marijuana and hashish, which did not raise immediate suspicions on the part of the law enforcement agencies.
