Noida, Uttar Pradesh: In a story of perseverance and determination, 18-year-old Sunny Kumar, who helps his family run a samosa stall, has successfully cleared the NEET UG exam, one of India's most challenging medical entrance tests. Despite the odds, Sunny managed to balance his school studies, work at the family’s samosa shop, and preparation for the NEET UG exam, inspiring many along the way.

Sunny's story was recently shared by Alakh Pandey, the founder of Physics Wallah, on social media. Pandey, known for sharing motivational stories of students who overcome hardships to achieve their dreams, highlighted Sunny’s incredible journey in two videos.

Balancing Work and Studies

Sunny's journey to cracking NEET UG was far from easy. After finishing school at 2 PM, Sunny would work at the family’s samosa stall in Sector 12, Noida, for 4-5 hours. Despite his exhausting schedule, he would stay up late at night to study. With just one year of focused preparation, Sunny scored an impressive 664 out of 720 marks in the NEET 2024 exam.

In one of the videos shared by Alakh Pandey, Sunny's room is shown with walls covered in notes—his unique way of studying. In the other video, Pandey praises Sunny for his dedication and hard work.

Overcoming Physical Challenges

Sunny faced significant challenges, including physical strain from the long hours at the samosa stall and the late-night study sessions. He often experienced pain in his eyes due to lack of sleep, but he never gave up. His relentless effort paid off when he cleared the NEET UG exam, bringing him one step closer to his dream of becoming a doctor.

The Inspiration Behind His Dream

Sunny's decision to pursue medicine was sparked by his curiosity about how medicines help people recover. "Seeing medicines made me want to understand how they work, which is why I chose biology and prepared for NEET," Sunny explained. Reflecting on his journey, he confidently states, "Selling samosas will not define my future."

Sunny's story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the belief that one's circumstances do not determine one's destiny. His success has not only made his family proud but also serves as an inspiration to countless others who are striving to achieve their dreams despite the challenges they face.
