Noida Schools Alter Timings Amid Cold Wave, Official Order Issued

In view of the incessant cold wave, the Gautam Buddh Nagar district administration decided to reschedule school timings of all institutions in Noida and Greater Noida. Schools are directed to resume classes from December 17 latest by 9 AM. Classes should conclude by 2:25 PM, in order to ensure a safer, warmer window for students' commuting.
According to the official notification, school authorities can alter the timing of different classes from pre-nursery to Class 12 as per their needs. However, they have to strictly adhere to the directive that no classes should begin before 9 AM. Several private schools have already communicated these changes to parents through registered phone numbers. For instance, Delhi Public School in Greater Noida has shifted its bus schedule by one hour to accommodate the later start time.

The district authorities made this decision keeping in view the dense fog and plummeting temperatures that have gripped the region in recent times. The Meteorological Department has stated that on Monday, Noida and Greater Noida recorded temperatures as low as 4°C with a high of about 21°C. The maximum temperatures from December 17 to December 22 could reach around 23°C while the minimum is likely to be around 8°C.
The new timing applies across all localities of Gautam Buddh Nagar such as Noida, Jewar, Dadri, Greater Noida, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority areas and Dankaur. Parents should remain attentive to official notifications and messages issued by schools regarding updates related to weather conditions.
