Noida: Shootout Between Notorious Thak-Thak Gang Criminals and Police, Two Injured

Noida: Two notorious criminals of the Thak-Thak gang, active in the Delhi-NCR region, were arrested by Sector 39 police during an encounter. The police shot both of them in the legs. From them, the police recovered the motorcycle used in the incident, three stolen laptops, and ₹8,000 in cash. These criminals have more than 50 cases registered against them in various police stations across the National Capital Region.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Ram Badan Singh stated that on Thursday evening, the Sector 39 police were conducting a search operation for criminals when they spotted two suspects on a motorcycle near Sector 41. When the police signaled them to stop, the suspects attempted to flee instead. The police pursued and surrounded them. Seeing themselves cornered by the police, the criminals fired at the police with the intent to kill. The police responded with gunfire.
DCP Singh reported that the police's bullets hit Deepak alias Manish, son of Ramjilal, resident of Harikesh Nagar, Okhla, and Imtiaz alias Arman, son of Mohammad Vakil, resident of Surya Vihar, Faridabad, in the legs. From these criminals, the police recovered three laptops stolen by breaking car windows at various locations, ₹8,000 in cash, and a country-made pistol with cartridges. The injured criminals were taken to the hospital for treatment. DCP Singh added that the arrested criminal Deepak has 50 cases registered against him in various NCR police stations, and Imtiaz has 32 cases registered against him in different NCR police stations.
