Uttar Pradesh Approves New Noida Master Plan 2041, DNGIR Development Begins

The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the Master Plan 2041 for New Noida, officially named the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR). The plan, which faced around 19 objections, has now been revised and finalized.
New Noida to Span 209.11 Square Kilometers
As per the DNGIR Master Plan 2041, New Noida will cover an area of 209.11 square kilometers (approximately 20,911 hectares). The project will involve the acquisition of land from 80 villages, and the notification for this has already been issued. The development of New Noida is expected to significantly boost the growth of Noida and the surrounding areas of western Uttar Pradesh.
Four Phases of Development
According to ACEO Satish Pal, the DNGIR Master Plan was submitted for government approval on January 12, 2024, and has now been cleared. The development of New Noida will take place in four phases, with the government set to release guidelines on land acquisition policies.
- Phase 1 (2023-2027): The first phase will involve the development of 3,165 hectares, including documentation and other initial processes.
- Phase 2 (2027-2032): In the second phase, work will be done on 3,798 hectares.
- Phase 3 (2032-2037): This phase will see the development of 5,908 hectares.
- Phase 4 (2037-2041): The final phase will cover 8,230 hectares.
New Noida to Include 80 Villages, Population of 600,000
New Noida will be established by integrating 80 villages—20 from Gautam Buddh Nagar and 60 from Bulandshahr—across an area of 209 square kilometers. According to the Master Plan, 40% of the land will be allocated for industrial use, 13% for residential and green areas, and 18% for recreational activities. The area is expected to accommodate a population of around 600,000 residents upon completion.
The DNGIR Master Plan 2041 marks a significant step toward the development of western Uttar Pradesh, setting the stage for increased economic activity and urban growth in the region.
