PSL 2021: Faf du Plessis ruled out from remaining matches after concussion, will return to home

After colliding with Mohammad Hasnain during a match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi on June 12.

South African batsman Faf du Plessis has been rule out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021.

After the severe incident, du Plessis was taken to the hospital with a concussion.

Due to the injury, du Plessis has been rule out of the PSL 2021 season and will return to South Africa shortly.

In an attempt to rescue a boundary, Du Plessis collided with teammate Hasnain, suffering a concussion.

He even stated that he is well but is experiencing some memory loss as a result of the crash.

The news is a significant setback for the Quetta Gladiators, as Du Plessis has been on fire recently.

Du Plessis previously competed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. It was postpone in the middle of the season on May 4.

He was the third-highest run scorer for Chennai Super Kings with 320 runs in seven games. With the veteran Proteas batsman finding form in the shorter version of the game.

Du Plessis, on the other hand, suffered a concussion after only one game for the Quetta Gladiators.

In the meantime, Saim Ayub was name as his concussion replacement for the game, however he was drop out from the following game.

Quetta Gladiators have had a disappointing season in PSL 2021, with only two victories in eight games.

They are at the bottom of the points standings for the PSL 2021 season.

The Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side will try to win their final two matches to give themselves a chance to make the playoffs
