QNET Case: Bangalore Court Orders Removal of Defamatory Article Against Vihaan Direct Selling

QNET Case: In a major legal victory for Vihaan Direct Selling (India) Pvt. Ltd., the sub-franchisee of QNET, the City Civil and Sessions Court of Bangalore has issued a restraining order against Bharat Prakashan (Delhi) Limited, the operator of Organiser.org. The court has directed the news portal to remove its defamatory article published on December 26, 2024, which misrepresented Vihaan's business operations.

The court order (Reference Case Number: O.S./0000232/2025) prohibits Organiser.org from spreading further misinformation until the next hearing and mandates the immediate removal of the article from its website.

Misleading Claims and Legal Clarifications

The controversy arose from Organiser.org's misleading article, which falsely suggested that Vihaan Direct Selling was under scrutiny following National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) observations. However, the NCLT case (C.P No.109/BB/2019, September 2024) was withdrawn without objections, confirming that no insolvency claims were upheld.

Further, allegations of fraud and money laundering are baseless, as

The Supreme Court of India stayed all FIRs against Vihaan in March 2017.
The Karnataka High Court ruled that Vihaan's activities do not fall under the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Banning Act.
Vihaan operates in full compliance with Indian laws under the Companies Act, 2013, with a valid Corporate Identification Number (CIN).

QNET's Ethical Business Model

Vihaan Direct Selling operates with full transparency, following the Ministry of Consumer Affairs' Guidelines. Key aspects of its business model include:
Earnings based on product sales, not recruitment.
Comprehensive training for independent distributors.
A 30-day money-back guarantee on products.
Robust grievance redressal mechanisms for customer protection.

QNET’s Stand on Responsible Journalism

QNET remains committed to ethical direct selling and urges media platforms to verify facts before publication. This legal action underscores the company’s dedication to transparency and fairness, reinforcing its position as a legitimate and law-abiding business in India.
