NASA selected a 16-year-old tribal girl from India for one of its Asteroid search campaigns.
Ritika Dhruw belongs to Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. The young girl left all surprised through her presentation on the topic “Vacuum in space then…how NASA found the sound from a black hole.
The girl will get a chance to work with NASA on its Asteroid Search Campaign, organised by the International Astronomical Search collaboration in partnership with Citizen Science Project.
Ritika at SDSC will learn more about gravitational force, R136a1, the most massive star ever found.
Besides, she shows an interest in space happenings like the collision of stars, and black holes. Not only this, but Ritika will also do space practicals there at SDSC.
After completing her weeklong training, Ritika from Chhattisgarh will attend an asteroid-hunting camp at ISRO.
Ritika is a prodigy who likes to attend online quizzes on space and asteroids.
The little girl’s presentation at the Bilaspur event gave her a big opportunity to work with NASA.
