Four astronauts who were aboard the ISS just returned to earth Thursday. They reentered the Earth’s atmosphere after spending more than 160 days in space.

It was a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule carrying the crew back to Earth. It then splashed down off Florida in NASA’s first nighttime ocean landing in more than 50 years.

“There was a point where I was just saying to myself, breathe. Inhale, because I felt really heavy — I felt like those cartoons when they experience G and your face is just sagging down,” said American Victor Glover. He is one of the astronauts in the group called Crew-1.

NASA has now held a contract with SpaceX to launch astronauts into space. Before this NASA had to pay for rides to the ISS aboard Russian Soyuz vessels.

Astronauts go through a stiff training session before stepping into the outer space. They get centrifuge training for G flight among others.
