A man based out of Siliguri in West Bengal has developed environment-friendly ‘bamboo’ water bottles, according to the media reports.
The 39-year old Debashish Kundu was running his small catering and event management businesses.
However he had to close his business after the outbreak of COVID-19 in the state. According to the reports, he decided to make bamboo water bottles to earn a livelihood.
“I had to shut my previous business due to COVID. Now I make eco-friendly bottles with 4000- 5000 monthly production,” he said.
He established a creative workshop and started manufacturing his bamboo water bottles. Alongside manufacturing water bottles, he made efforts also to promote his product on social media.
As a result of his efforts and hard work, he soon began getting orders from India and abroad.
Bamboo is easily available in the area, which is also environment friendly, Debashish Kundu said, speaking on his business.
“We have taken inspiration from Central Government’s ‘Make In India’ vision. With its eco-friendly appeal, the business is prosperous and is financially supportive for me and others. We have received very good responses from the general public,” he told ANI.
