Just a few months ago, Neeraj Chopra proved his mettle in the Olympics by winning a Gold medal for the country.
He holds the record for being the first track and field athlete to win a gold medal for India at the Olympics.
Now Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, going by his words has gifted the SUV XUV700 to athlete Neeraj Chopra.
He has also gifted another one to Sumit Antil, a Paralympian and javelin thrower.
We all remember the time of August when Neeraj Chopra had won a historic treat for India by grabbing gold in the javelin throw event at the Tokyo Olympics.
It was then that Anand Mahindra had said that it would be an honour for him to gift Mahindra XUV700 to Chopra.
Similarly, another javelin thrower Sumit Antil had won a gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics. Mahindra had expressed his company’s wish to gift him a ‘Javelin edition’ of XUV 700.
Not only this, but Mr Mahindra had also expressed his wish to dedicate and gift the first SUV for those with disabilities to 19-year-old shooter Avani Lekhara. She became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Paralympics.
