Australia is clashing against England in the 2nd test of the Ashes series.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Aussies batting first declared their innings on 473 at the loss of 9 wickets and England got out on 236. Aussies declared their second innings on 230 and England lost their 4 wickets on the score of 82 by stumps.

Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne smashed two crucial and amazing half centuries helping their side reach a big total.

Australia even made a quick attack with ball lead by Jhye Richardson by the end of the day.

Stumps Day 4 summary

Marcus Harris and Michael Neser came to open the innings on day 4 for Australia.

James Anderson made a great start of day as he dismissed Neser quickly on the score of 3 in the 19th over.

Stuart Broad sent Marcus Harris back in the very next over.

Steve Smith failed to score big as he lost his wicket on the score of 6 to Ollie Robinson.

Marnus Labuschagne was then joined by Travis Head to progress the Innings.

Both of them built a 89 run crucial partnership and help Aussies from a batting collapse.

Travis Head was playing a quick innings and he scored 51 runs of just 54 balls before his departure on Ollie Robinson’s delivery.

Marnus Labuschagne lost his wicket to Dawid Malan after scoring 51 runs too on 96 balls.

Joe Root dismissed Alex Carey on 6 runs and Mitchell Starc on 19.

Dawid Malan grabbed his second wicket of the match in form of Jhye Richardson amd dismissed him on 8 runs.

Cameron Green returned unbeaten on 33 runs of 43 balls as Aussies declared their innings after the fall of Jhye Richardson.

Australia declared their second innings on 230 runs and with a 237 runs lead, the target in front of England was 468 runs.

Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed came to open the second innings for England.

Jhye Richardson dismissed Haseeb Hameed on duck in the second over itself.

Rory Burns and Dawid Malan did built a 44 runs partnership but it came to an end with Dawid Malan’s knock.

He got out after scoring 20 of 52 balls on Michael Neser’s delivery.

Jhye Richardson gave England another blow in form of Rory Burns in the 31st over. He got out after scoring 34 runs of 95 balls.

Joe Root the last hope for the English side returned to the pavalion by the last ball of the day.

He lost his wicket to Mitchell Starc after scoring 24 runs of 67 balls.

England lost both their Marquee player of the series, Root and Malan are now in pavalion, probably along England’s hope to save the match.

England by the end of stump day 4 are batting on 82 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. Ben Stokes is still on the pitch.
