Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Aussies batting first declared their innings on 473 at the loss of 9 wickets.
Steve Smith and Alex Carey smashed great knocks on the second day of the second test.
Marnus Labuschagne completed his crucial century and helped Aussies reach a great total in the first innings.

Steve Smith was then joined by Travis Head who scored a great century in the first match. Smith completed his half century.
England got two more wickets in quick successions as they dismissed both Travis Head and Cameron Green in span of 6 balls.

Then came Alex Carey who progressed the scoreboard along with his skipper.
They both joined a crucial 91 runs partnership for their team before Smith’s departure in the 139th over.
He got out after scoring 93 runs of 201 balls on Anderson’s delivery. Alex Carey completed his half century but lost his wicket to Anderson too after scoring 51 runs of 107 balls.
