Andrew Symonds, the former all-rounder, has died in a car crash. Cricket Australia informed the big news on Sunday. This proves to be another big blow for the cricket fraternity after the recent deaths of other giants like Shane Warne and Rod Marsh.
Symonds, the 46-year-old had played 26 Tests and 198 one-day internationals for Australia.
Police informed, the emergency services attempted to revive the driver and sole occupant, but he died from his injuries after the car left the road and rolled.
Notably, Andrew Symonds‘ fatal crash comes just months after the deaths of fellow Australian giants namely Warne and Marsh; both of them died unexpectedly from heart attacks.
Also, he was widely considered one of the most skilled all-rounders in Australian cricket.
Andrew Symonds is known for bowling both off-spin and medium pace; he was popular for playing many match-winning hands with his explosive middle-order batting.
