Cristiano Ronaldo, the most followed social media figure, broke all records yesterday (June 18) by becoming the first person to surpass 300 million Instagram followers.

For a long time, he has been the most popular star on the photo-blogging site.

Ronaldo is the first individual to surpass the 200 and 250 million marks, and The Rock is next on the list.

The WWE superstar-turned-Hollywood actor also has a 246 million-strong fan base.

Lionel Messi is another athlete who makes the top ten list.

Over 219 million people follow the Barcelona forward on social media.

Cristiano Ronaldo earned $47.8 million from paid Instagram posts, according to a Hopper HQ research published on Buzz Bingo in 2019.

He became the highest-paid user of the photo and video sharing platform as a result of this.

Ronaldo was paid an average of $975,000 each advertised position in 2019, according to sources.

Ronaldo’s Instagram profits were far more than some of the world’s most famous people, like Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez.

Ronaldo is quite active on social media and updates on Instagram on a regular basis to keep his followers interested.

He has a sizable following on Twitter and Facebook.

Ronaldo is the lone sportsperson in the top ten, with over 92 million Twitter followers.

Ronaldo is also the only athlete with over 100 million Facebook likes and is followed by over 148 million people on the platform.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is the most followed person on Instagram among Indians.

The captain of the Indian cricket team has over 128 million followers on Twitter and is one of the country’s highest-paid celebrities.
