ICC Women’s T20I rankings: Shafali Verma retains top spot, Kathryn Bryce is first Scotland player to be in top 10

In the latest ICC rankings revealed on Tuesday, Indian teen phenomenon Shafali Verma retained her top spot among T20 batters.

While Kathryn Bryce became the first woman from Scotland to break into the top-10.

Shafali is still in first place, with 776 points, ahead of Australians Beth Mooney (744) and Meg Lanning (709).

Smriti Mandhana, India’s T20 vice-captain, is placed fourth with (693) , while Jemimah Rodrigues, the third Indian batter, is ranked ninth with (639).

The highlight of the new list is Scotland all-rounder Bryce, who despite losing the four-match T20 series versus Ireland 1-3, finished as the team’s leading scorer.

ICC WT2OI Ranking for Bowlers

India had two bowlers in the top ten, with off-spinner Deepti Sharma in sixth place and left-arm spinner Radha Yadav in seventh place.

Deepti has a total of 705 ranking points, while Radha has a total of 702.

Sophie Ecclestone of England, a left-arm spinner, leads the bowlers’ list. She has a total of 799.

Followed by South Africa’s Shabnim Ismail with 763 points and England’s Sarah Glenn with 755 points at second and third spot respectively.

Meanwhile, the women’s cricket team is currently preparing for their England tour.

It includes a Test match, three One-Day Internationals, and as many T20I matches.

Indian women team will play a Test match for the first time in seven years when they take on hosts England in a four-day Test starting June 16 at the County Cricket Ground in Bristol.
