IND vs ENG: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) was given a rescheduling of the cancelled Test match by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday.
“In lieu of the strong relationship between the BCCI and the ECB, the BCCI has offered to ECB a rescheduling of the cancelled Test match. Both the Boards will work towards finding a window to reschedule this Test match,” BCCI said in a statement.

The outbreak of Covid-19 among the Indian team’s contingent, however, necessitated the cancellation of the Old Trafford Test Match.
“The BCCI has always maintained that the safety and well-being of the players is of paramount importance and there will be no compromise on that aspect.”
India led the series 2-1 heading into the last test, but its physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar tested positive for the new coronavirus on Thursday, putting the match in jeopardy.
The BCCI has apologised to the fans for not being able to finish the tense Test series.
“We would like to apologise to the fans for not being able to complete an enthralling series,” said BCCI.
“The BCCI would like to thank the ECB for their co-operation and understanding in these trying times.”
Ravi Shastri, India’s head coach, tested positive during the fourth test at The Oval; and has been isolated with bowling coach Bharat Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar, and physio Nitin Patel since since.
Meanwhile, after a number of positive coronavirus readings were discovered, England’s trip of South Africa was cancelled in December
