India is clashing against New Zealand in the first test match of the two test match series.
By the end of stump day 4, Men in Blue are in a really strong position from where they can win the match and have a 1-0 lead in the series.
Team India won the toss and elected to bat first. Men in Blue batting first scored 345 runs and restricted Kiwis on 296 runs. India declared their second innings on the score of 234 runs and with a lead of 49 runs.
Ravichandran Ashwin who played a major role in the strong current position in the match and even gave Team India early success by the end of the stump day 4.
Kiwis are in need of 280 runs in the last day and Team India are in need of 9 wickets to win the match.

The New Milestone
R Ashwin is one of the most decorated Indian bowler and now reached a really historic milestone.
Ashwin with the dismissal of Will Young before the end of stump day 4 made him the third leading test wicket taker of India.
He has 417 wickets in 80 test now and got ahead of Harbhajan Singh who also got 417 wickets but in 103 matches.
Ashwin can surpass Harbhajan Singh in matter of wickets too by taking one wicket on the fifth and last day of the Kanpur test match.
The 35-year old has taken 624 wickets throughout his career for India in the 241 matches he has played.
He is the fourth highest wicket taker for India behind Kapil Dev, Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble.
He has taken 30 five wicket hauls and 7 ten wicket haul just behind Anil Kumble who has 8 ten wicket haul.

Anil Kumble with 619 wickets are highest test wicket taker of India followed by Kapil Dev with 434 wickets.
Ashwin can surpass Kapil Dev real soon in the upcoming future and might even have the opportunity to get ahead of the Indian bowling legend Anil Kumble.
R Ashwin grabbed 3 crucial wickets in the first innings and hopefully perform really well in the second innings as Team India will be needing that to win the match.
