India is clashing against New Zealand in the first test match of the two test match series.
Men in Blue by the end of the stump day 3 bowled out Kiwis to take a 49 runs lead and started their second innings.
Axar Patel grabbed 5 wickets and Ashwin bagged 3 crucial wickets.
The 3 wickets were not the only highlight from Ashwin on the third day of the test match.
Ashwin was seen in a really heated argument with the on field umpire Nitin Menon during the match forcing the Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane to intervene.
The spinner gave Team India their first breakthrough of the match as he dismissed dangerous seeming Will Young on the score of 89 runs of 214 balls.

Unlike the previous day he was getting a lots of help from the pitch and was turning out to be real problem for the Kiwi batsmen.
As the game progressed, Ashwin started bowling closer to the wicket and resulting in him running up across the umpire by the end of the run up.
Nitin Menon was clearly unimpressed with this and was seen conversing with the spinner on different occasions regarding this.
Soon, the conversation seemed a bit heated up between the bowler and umpire causing the skipper Ajinkya Rahane to join the conversation to intervene.
Ashwin then walked off and Menon reached him again after the end of the over to discuss things calmly.

Earlier in the game, Ashwin depicted his dissatisfaction to Menon for not acknowledging the LBW call in the 73rd over.
Team India didn’t take the review either but later in the replay it was clear that it could have been another opportunity.
Ashwin was really frustrated and even kicked the ground after end of the over.
