India is clashing against New Zealand in the first test match of the two test match series.
By the end of stump day 4, Men in Blue are in a really strong position from where they can win the match and have a 1-0 lead in the series.
Team India won the toss and elected to bat first. Men in Blue batting first scored 345 runs and restricted Kiwis on 296 runs. India declared their second innings on the score of 234 runs and with a lead of 49 runs.
Kiwis have a target of 284 in front of them to win this test match and they lost their first wicket by the end of stump day 4 on the score of 4.
They’ll have to chase 280 runs in 90 overs with 9 wickets in their hand on the last day and Team India will be looking to bowl out Kiwis as soon as possible.
Stump Day 4 Summary
Mayank Aggarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara started the fourth day of the match. Team India lost Shubman Gill before the end of the stump day 3.

Kyle Jamieson gave India the first blow on the fourth day too as he dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara in the 12th over on the score of 22 runs of 33 balls.
Ajaz Patel grabbed the wicket of the skipper Ajinkya Rahane in the 15th over. He got out after scoring just 4 runs of 15 balls.
Shreyas Iyer was now on the pitch, he scored a ton in the previous innings.
Tim Southee dismissed both Mayank Aggarwal and Ravindra Jadeja in the same over.

Team India lost 5 wickets on the score of 51, Kiwis made a great comeback by the ball. Team India were on the backfoot now.
Shreyas Iyer and Ashwin were on the pitch now and both of them supported the Indian innings. Both of them joined a 52 runs crucial partnership.

Kyle Jamieson gave Kiwis another breakthrough in form of Ashwin in the 40th over. He got out after scoring 32 runs of 62 balls.
Shreyas Iyer now along with Wriddhiman Saha progressed the scoreboard, Iyer completed his half century. Both of them joined a 64 runs partnership.
Tim Southee ended the partnership by dismissing Shreyas Iyer in the 61st over. He got out after scoring 65 runs of 125 balls.
Saha alongside Axar Patel lead the rest of the Indian innings. Saha completed his half century and joined a 67 runs partnership with Axar Patel.
India declared their innings on the score of 234 at the loss of 7 wickets. Saha scored an unbeaten 61 runs of 126 balls and Axar returned after scoring 28 runs of 67 balls not out.
Team India earned a 49 runs lead by the end of the 1st innings and added that to the score they out a 284 runs target in front of the Kiwis.

Tom Latham and Will Young came to open the Innings for New Zealand and chase the target.
Ashwin dismissed Will Young in the third over itself on the score of 2 and gave Kiwis an early blow before the stumps.
An over later umpires declared the end of the stump day 4. New Zealand were on 4 runs at the loss of 1 wickets by the end of the fourth day.
Kiwis will be needing 280 runs on the last day and India would be looking for 9 wickets to win the match.
