Team India is clashing against South Africa in the second test match of the three test match series.
Team India won the toss and elected to bat first and their first innings came to an end on 202 and Proteas got all out on 229 gaining a 27 runs lead over India.
Shardul Thakur’s record breaking decimated the Proteas Batting line-up and grabbed 7 wickets on the second Day.
Keegan Petersen and Temba Bavuma smashed the only half centuries of the Proteas innings.
Shardul Thakur’s New Record
Dean Elgar and Keegan Petersen came to start The Peoteas innings on the second day.
Both of them built a 74 runs crucial partnership and helped Proteas with a good start after an early hiccup.

Then began the ‘Lord Shardul Thakur’ Show, he first broke the partnership and dismissed Dean Elgar on the score of 28 runs.
Shardul then dismissed Keegan Petersen on the score of 62 of 118 balls in the 43rd over.
Keegan Petersen played a really great knock for the South African side and helped his side reach a good score.
Shardul Thakur then went on and dismissed Van der Dussen, Temba Bavuma, Kyle Verreynne and gave Proteas the first five blows of the day.

He later in the day grabbed the wickets of Marco Jensen and dismissed Lungi Ngidi on the golden duck to grab the last two wickets of the Proteas Innings.
Shardul Thakur grabbed 7 wickets for just 61 runs and became the best Indian performer in the South African soil surpassing Harbhajan Singh.
He is the only second Indian after Harbhajan Singh to take seven wickets in South Africa and the sixth Indian bowler to take a five wickets haul on the Wanderers Stadium.
