IND vs SA, 3rd Test: Keegan Petersen takes the Sole Stand

Team India is clashing against South Africa in the third and final test of the series.

Team India won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 223 runs in the first innings. Proteas by the 70th over were on 196 for 8 wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah lead the Indian bowling attack and grabbed four wickets by the 70th over.

Keegan Petersen smashed the only half century from the Proteas and scored 72 crucial runs.

Keegan Petersen’s Sole Stand

Aiden Markram and Keshav Maharaj resumed the Proteas innings on the second day.

Jasprit Bumrah sent Markram back on the second delivery of the second day and gave Proteas their second big blow.

Umesh Yadav joined the parade and soon caused the departure of Keshav Maharaj in the 21st over.

Keegan Petersen took the lead and joined a 67 runs crucial partnership with Rassie van der Dussen.

Umesh Yadav ended the partnership by dismissing Van Der Dussen in the 40th over on the score of 21 runs.

Temba Bavuma than joined a 47 runs partnership with Keegan Petersen but was put to an end by Mohammed Shami.

Shami dismissed both Bavuma and Verreynne in the same over and brought Team India back in the game.

Keegan Petersen kept on building the Proteas innings and progressing the scoreboard from one end.

His innings was quite similar to that off Virat’s as he too was progressing the scoreboard alone.

The splendid knock came to end when Bumrah dismissed him in the 65th over on the score of 72.
