Team India is set to clash against for South Africa for 3 Test and 3 ODIs.
Team India was set to clash against the Proteas in three test matches, three one-day international and four T20s from 17th December.
With Covid-19 new variant spreading it’s wings, BCCI and CSA has decided to reduce the series to 3 Test and 3 ODIs.
CSA has also announced the updated schedule for the Indian tour. The first test match will be played at Centurion on December 26.
Will Covid effect the series
Players have already expressed their views on how much anxiety these bio bubble cause and with the new covid variant spreading across countries like South Africa, players’ concern are only increasing.
BCCI has decided to postpone the four T20s for later time, that will give the players some time off.

CSA has promised a really secured bio-bubble and to keep the travelling via flight within South Africa minimum.
the Betway Test and One-Day International series, taking place from 26 December to 23 January 2022 across four venues, following successful engagement with the BCCI.
First test will be played at Centurion from December 26.
The second Test will be played at the Wanderers here from January 03-07 while the third match will be held at Newlands, Cape Town from January 11-15.
The three ODIs will be played at Boland Park, Paarl (January 19 and 21) and Cape Town (January 23).

CSA has ensured that if any player or staff member comes in contact of Covid, they would immediately be sent into isolation.
The series will continue to take place and the bio-bubble would be as strict as ever.
Virat Kohli would be leading Team India for the three test matches and KL Rahul would be the Vice-Captain.
